Is it possible to turn off logging to the trasaction log? My transaction log is growing too rapidly is there a way I do not log to the transaction log becuase the nature of data I am dealing with I don't have to roll back.

Thanks

No, you might want to set the truncate on checkpoint option on. It will truncate the size of the log more often.

Truncating the log on checkpoint will only truncate inactive or committed transactions. If you are inserting, deleting or updating large numbers of rows, the transaction log will grow until the transaction completes. You may need to perform smaller batches of updates to allow the commiting of transactions more frequently. Terry L. Broadbent
