Turn off "automatically updates records"

Is there a way to turn off how often Access tries to automatically update records? We have some laptops with wirless connections, and would like to change this interval so users do not experience disk or network errors.

lupins46, has this worked with success? Access seems to give the Disk or Network error with the slightest of netwrok glitch.

I've never used the setting to REDUCE the refresh time. Most people want to see updates sooner!
