TTI Question 1

When you enable TTI, the system will have to check on ports with no station administered if some one picks up a handset, to give dialtone so you would be able to dial the TTI acces code.
This eats up a little processor occupancy, that is why in all upgrade docs Avaya states that before the upgrade you should disable TTI.
Basically in theory you should turn of TTI during periods you are not moving or installing phones.
In the real world people leave it enabled and I never saw problems with it. Allthoug I do recommend to turm it of in an upgrade situation.

TTI is a very useful tool if you are doing lots of moves and changes, however just be aware that it causes havoc with any hard-copy paperwork you may have on your site. Ensure after you have carried out a change using TTI that you update your records, if you have any. Ports move about very fast when you are associating and disassociating stations!
