We presently have a library attached to a backup server running TSM V5.2. We are removing the library and will only be using this infrastructure to perform restores. Can an external tape drive be connected to perform restores if needed. I have been getting some conflicting stories that TSM V5.2 will not support a standalone external tape drive. Can anyone confirm this either way
