I know this is just part of the program to have latency when typing in Terminal Services. Especially over a 56k connection. We have several users on the road dialing into our network through VPN and then using Remote Desktop connection. We are seeing latency when typing emails and such. Is there a way to at least help the problem here? I've done as much as I can with not allowing sound/drives/printers to be connected and also setting to 256 colors. Is there some way to increase the speed the screen refreshes?

Have you set your MTU and TCP receive window setting on your TS NIC, gateway router; the users should set them if slower than normal on each different site connection..tcp optimer..MTU varies considerably. I use Intel NIC card, and they do not have these set properly. This also helps if you have a black hole router along the routing causing poor or no connection.
