Trying to use Outlook 2003 for Hotmail

Quite a bizzare problem- I am trying to configure outlook 2003 to access my hotmail account. I can set this up absolutely fine in outlook express. I can set up POP accounts in both outlook express and outlook. However trying to set up hotmail in outlook is proving impossible - Error authenticating 0x800ccc32.

Any tips?
