Hi,
We are trying to restore some data from a foreign backup tape (backup from a different enviroment, made with an unknown version of Arcserve for Netware).
I loaded the tape in the drive and tried to run a merge job. This gave me the correct session numbers but did not show me the details on a file level. The logfile was full with File Skipped <file> file is marked as invalid.
Knowing the correct session number we tried restoring the data using the Arcserve Scheduler Console. We specified a directory filter called APPS in the effort of restoring an entire directory called APPS with all subdirectories.
The restore job does not process any files however. Is there something wrong with the filter or are we going down the wrong path here???
Thanks,
Jeffrey
