Trying to progam an Avaya IP Office Phone to Auto Dial A Number When Handset is Lifted 2

I would like to have the phone dial a pre-determined number when the handset is lifted. I would also like this to happen when the line is pushed on an abridged appearance - but it has to display correct caller id for the line

On the user in question, go to short codes. Add a code with the following:
Code: ?D
Telephone Number= the extension or number to be dialed
Feature (if internal ext Feature should be Dial Extn. If External number Feature should be Dial (Line Group ID will be the line group of your ARS table being used, EG 51)
Then your ARS table 51 needs to be configured to SEND the appropriate outbound caller ID.

Code: N;
Telephone number: NS5555555555
Feature: Dial3k1
Line Group ID: Line group of PRI outgoing traffic
If this is SIP, then the system can be configured to use the SIP tab of the user for the outbound caller ID information.

ya but wouldn,t that send incorrect caller id for other users on the system that use ars 51?

No need to use ARS, do all the manipulation in the ?D shortcode and target the line gp directly

Correct. ARS 51 is an example. Create a unique one just for this user to use. I typically import an ARS table, and copy paste as many as I need for whatever I'm doing.
