Hi All,
At the office, I use MS Outlook under NT (4 I think). I tend to store most of my sent and received mails until I get a message from the system adminstrator telling my I'm taking up too much space (whoops!). I then do a bit of a clean up, moving stuff out to offline folders etc. Standard stuff I guess.
My NT setup has a feature where if we turn the machine off from the box, next time we sign up to Outlook, we have a problem and have to delete/rename our .OST file
Recently, I needed to look at an e-mail I sent over 8 months ago. I had deleted it from my 'sent' box, so no joy there, but.....because of the way in which the OST file is processed, I have an old copy (dated around about the time in question) of my .OST file.
I can't import this file, and it's ncrpyted so I can't read it. If I rename my current OST file, and attempt to use the 8 month olds one, it tells me my file is out of date.
My question is, can I somehow read this old OST file, and if I did, am I likely to find fthe sent mail I'm after??
Many thanks in ant.
