Hi,
I am trying to install SQL server 7.0 onto a Windows 2000 Advanced Server box. I get past the licensing questions and the files begin to copy, when all of a sudden I get an error message stating that a file (sqlagent.exe) cannot be found on the E drive (CD-ROM - off of which I am installing). Weird much?

Has anyone encountered this problem? Thanks in advance for your help....

exact error message reads....

"Cannot read specified file. This is most likely caused by a poor network connection. Correct the problem and restart setup.

File: E:\X86\SETUP\..\Binn\sqlsui.dll"

this is happening for multiple files.....also I am installing locally, not over the network.

OK SO................:)

Apparently there was food on the install cd, therefore the files could not be read.....dontcha hate it when that happens?

DUH!

Thanks Anyways
