I am trying to find out how to point the .dbf extensions to FoxPro 2.0. It is a small app running on Windows NT4.0 SP6 with Excel 2000. In the ODBC all FoxPro is set for .dbf. However, the files themselves have .dbf extensions but Excel icons with them. When you click on the file it tries to open in Excel and gives errors. Is this because the version of FoxPro is old or what?

The easiest way to get the DBF files pointed back to Foxpro is to:

Select the file, hold down the shift key and right click on it. From the menu, choose "Open with" and the select Foxpro from the list, and also check "Always use this program to open these files"
