I need to give users from a trusted domain access to the resources on my domain controllers. I went into user mananger and added a localgroup to the domain - the localgroup is enumerated from the command line but, the trusted users in that group can not access the resources on the trusting domain controllers. So my question is how do I grant trusted users access to my DC's? Thanks!

Pezamystik,

What about users in the same domain?

If you add a test user (from the same domain as the DC) into the local group can they access the files? If so, then there is most likely a Trust problem.

To test this, see if the users in the Trusted domain can get access to files on other servers or computers? If not then it is definitely a Trust problem. If they can access them, the problem lies in either the Share permissions, or the security permissions assigned.

Let me know how these tests go, and Good Luck!!

Cheers,
Sam

It was a permission issue. I had to grant my new local group permission to access the computer from the network. Thanks!
