I have the following situation/problem:
Situation :
2 Separate NT 4.0 Domains, which communicate with each other over a 128 kb/s WAN link. A bi-directional trust relationship was created quite some time ago, and works perfectly.
We have the lmhosts correctly configured with pdc info each side both sides replicate their WINS databases and information is present on both servers.
Problem :
When we need to restart one or other PDC, most of the time (but not always) the trust relationship stops working. We have tried every which way but the only way to get the trust up and running again, is to restart both PDC's with the obvious hassles involved. Does anybody know why the trust is lost so often and what we can to stop it happening, or at least not have to restart both PDC's to get the trust working again.
Thank you in advance.
Kind Regards,
Tim Reeve
