Is there a command I can use to see what extension is using a specifc port on a trunk?

Unfortunately, it's a 2-step process. If you do 'status trunk-group x' it will show you which ports are active and which ports they are connected to. You would have to do a 'display port x' to find the station number connected to that trunk.

Maybe I don't understand, but if you know the extension already, then just status the station, and it will give you the port number, then display the port and it will show you the trunk.

The stations grab the trunks at random. No particular trunk is assigned to a certain station if that is what you are trying to find out. These calls are routed to a particular trunk group not member.

If you want to find out what trunk you are receiving a call on or placing a call to then program a trunk id button on your phone. When your call is connected hit the button and it will show you the group and member you are on.

I'm doing a list st tunk and see connected ports and trying to find out what extension is conencted to the outside world using that trunk groups port number.

I previously tried disp port and it only tells me the trunk group name and number...

If I run it through CMS I get extension only if it's an agent call not a oridinary station...

While that call is in progress do a "sta station xxxx" the xxxx will be the phone the call is being made from. The status station form will show you the connecting port. Do a "disp po xxxxxxx" that will give you the trunk group number and the member.

That's my problem, I'm looking at the trunk port connection and trying to find out what station is connected...

It is just as 4merAvaya explained in the first post.

example:

command: stat trunk 2

results show:
TRUNK GROUP STATUS

Member Port Service State Mtce Connected Ports
Busy

02/02 01A0402 in-service/active no 01A0608

Now look at the port in very most right column for example connected on trunk port 01 is 01C0422. Now use the command

display port 01C0422 - to see the associated station
PORT INFORMATION

Port: 01C04022

statun 4866 is connected to trunk port 01

That's the first thing I tried....

and it looks liek the connected port is another trunk member not a st port...

and here's my result displaying the port...
PORT INFORMATION

Port: 01A14005

Equipment Type: Trk Gp /Mbr No
Identification: 1/5

I don't see a valid station connecting, just trunk group members connecting to other trunk group members not stations. It's always liek this, I never see stations connecting.

Any ideas?

That trunk might be used only for calls coming in from the outside, and then going back out to home numbers or some other place the that the pbx destination extention is call forwarded, or 'remote call coveraged' too.

Call forwaridng is off and remote call cov is off too.

I'm at a loss and we are being charged $$$

looks like your a victim of toll fraud. U probably have a incorrectly written vector, a internal employee making extra money connecting friends to far off places, or dial tone being obtained thru your voice mail system.
Generally you can turn off 'trunk to trunk' tranfer by making it 'none', in the 'change system features' form, but this can disable the pbx from doings its' job of providing service to your legal users. Have Avaya or one of their partners go in and clean up the programing. If you have a maintenance program with Avaya it usually includes 'toll fraud indemity'.
