Trouble with Personal Verification/Company Directory

I'm a bit new to the Meridian world and am hving issues with personal verification. Does that person need to have his/her name recorded before people can access them from company directory? When you press 7 in our message for copmany directory and enter his name, it brings up 3 options but says the person cannot be reached by that method??? I checked COS and it matches the rest of mailboxes. I am stuck.......

Any suggestions?

check the cos deff, you can require a login and/or a recorded name before dial by name works.. but that is in the cos itself, not the mb

that is a known hacker entry point so i never turn it off
