Trouble with new mirror on CL380 shared storage

I added a couple of drives to the shared storage array in a Compaq CL380 and created a mirror using the Compaq CL380 Array tool. I now want to make this mirror part of the cluster for the purpose of storing transaction logs. I thought that I managed to get this new mirrored drive designated as part of the 'Shared Drive' resource in the Cluster Administrator, but unlike the Quorum and Data drives that were previously part of the cluster, the new drive is 'available' to both the active and passive nodes for writing and reading data. Now when I look at cluster administrator, the new drive doesn't show up in the list. I need the active node to have exclusive use of the drive before I risk putting valuable data on it.

To reiterate, on the passive node, when I click on the Quorum or Data drive, I get an error message, which is good, but when I click on the new drive, it opens, and I can write data to it. I don't want this to be the case.

Anyone have any solutions for this situation? The help within the Cluster Admin wasn't very helpful.
