Hi,

In have a workbook that was created in excel 2000,but running on office XP...

I have code that is bombing on the mid() function in more than one sub.

...tells me i need a library installed yet the vba lib.is installed, and it only is erroring in this particular workbook.

any clues?

This occurs, if any reference is not available.
Open the workbook in Excel XP,
go to tools-references
check for any "not available"s. If there are any, de-select them. (If necessary, select a different version)
