I am using the following connect string to connect VB to a report

Report.Database.LogOnServer "pdsodbc.dll", "A2", "A2", "test", "test1"

when the above code is executed , a logon dialog box is prompted. Is there anything else to be set OR is there any other property to disable the promt.

"pdsodbc.dll" is the 16-bit driver. All drivers that start with "pd" are the 16-bit drivers. Ordinarily you shouldn't use them (although some Crystal examples inexplicably use them). Use the "p2" drivers.

"p2sodbc.dll" is the right driver.
