Watch out!
This is more of a warning as the damage has already been done and repaired, i just hope i can prevent someone else from the same situation:
Starting at this point, i read and was curious. I followed a link from the site listed below, that gave me a chance to have microsoft test and see if my pc was HDVideo ready.
Well, during the test my pc turned off and rebooted. I didnt think much of it until an hour later i went to burn a cd and it wouldnt. Well, Nero6 is almost idiotproof so i knew there was something wrong. Turned out that some of the files i was trying to copy had been somehow messed up. There were files there but the folder said it was empty and gave a warning that the file could not be copied, file name too long (not true as far as the origina file name, unless it somehow got changed during the sudden re-boot, which is the likely scenario) Also, my drive is NTFS, not fat32. I had to get the files that had been messed up again, make a new folder and put them with the ones that didnt get messed up, and my burner then made my copy just fine, so it was these few files that caused the problem.
Goback wouldnt work, and a few other programs as well. There is no other reason so all these things were as a result of trying that HDVideo-ready thing. My guess is that my video wouldnt qualify and perhaps thats why my pc rebooted. But of course i am only guessing.
Eventually, between xp pro's system restore, uninstalling goback and a few other progs, i am good to go, i believe.
I just hope that at least one person reads this and stays away from that test!!
