Trouble with Different Media Players....

Hi, we had a new motherboard installed in a Win2KPro (866 mhz - 128 MB ram)machine which necessitated reinstalling some new drivers for a network card (put back into different PCI slot, I think). Now different media players crash or hang with great frequency. Tried reinstalling sound card drivers (no apparent IRQ conflict) and uninstalling/reinstalling players (MP3 & streaming radio).

At a loss. Troubleshooting advice appreciated.
