trouble passing to main report from sub report

Hello,

I'm having troubles passind data from the sub report to the main report. My value is incorrect. I keep on getting 0.00. The formula in the subreport; whileprintingrecords; "shared currencyvar CostTotal := sum(nnn)", is working fine but it's not passing the data to the main report "wileprintingrecords shared currencyvar CostTotal" I hope this isn't confusing.
Any Ideas?

The shared variable in the main report should be in a section following the subreport in order to reflect the value of that variable in the subreport.

If both are in the detail section, create a secondary detail section and move th avariable to it.

If you need to show them side by side, use an underlay approach.
