hi
i have programmed in a speed dial in abbreviated dial group 1 position 06 .The feature access for this group is *1 so to dial the number would be *106 but all i get is a continuous tone .I can dial any other speed dial from the same list.
Help

Did you define them on the station form page three from where you are dialling?

Your personal list may be set to only allow 5 entries, "change abb pers xxxx " and change to 10
Regards
Alan

Yes the extension has access to the list and the list is
allowed for 100 entries and we can dial other numbers from the list no probs
thanks

Hmm- what did you program in the list, what is teh entry?

What is teh and all i put in was 9118500 which can be dialled from the handset no problem

teh is a typo - should have been the...

Hmmm I am stumped - sorry. Maybe someone else will come up with that spark of insight...

I'm assuming that (1) 9 is your access code for an outside dial tone and that (2) you are attempting to dial a number outside of your switch.

In that case....Your dial string is too short. You only have 6 digits following the "9" and telephone numbers are 7 digits in length for local calls.

not in the uk it is the new directory enquiries and there are lots of different 118 numbers which are all 6 digits in length
Thanks

Opps - okay. In that case, I'm stumped. Have you tried running a trace to see what is really going out? Open an emulation session, use the command list trace stat xxxx and compare the speed-dial results to the handset-dialed results.

Could you try to end it with a # ? 9118500#

problem is that the switch is a v6 so no trace available on stations and putting # at the end does not make any difference
