Trojan Horse Generic2.LNI found in commercial software

Sounds like a false positive, have you tried rescanning with the latest updated definitions?

Recently got similar report for a file contained in a very old backup of a couple of ms visual studio 6 installation cds which I keep on one machine(and have never used or even looked at). I thought infection pretty unlikely and sure enough the next time AVG automatically updated I got a clean report.

My advise would be update AVG and scan again.
