TRN key not available on 1140 IP set

I have a CS1000M at Rls 6.

I am using IP 1140 sets.

Even though key 17 is programmed as TRN, it does not appear when I have an active call. CONF appears, but TRN does not.

Sounds like a firmware issue. You will need to check your firmware in Element Manager and then download and update the latest from the ESPL.

The phone is at C7M version.

I updated the currency file in element manager and the latest as of March 2012 is C8L for the 1140 sets.

However, when I try to select the firmware file from the drop down list, C8L does not appear.

That is how the CS2100 is, no trn soft ket on conf, we were told to hit conf and connect the other two callers and then disconnect from the call,

You need to download the C8L firmware from ESPL, then copy it to element manager and distribute. Once that is done you need to reset your IP phones to upload the new firmware. Transfer should be on the phone as it has been a feature since release 2.0 of CS1000. It does not appear on the set until you are on an established call, then the soft keys will appear.

It's a phone system, NOT a clock!

I'm thinking that C7M is the latest firmware on my CS1000M at release 6.0.
