Hi all,

I'm running SQL Server 2000 with all the latest patches. I am backing up all of my databases and transaction logs on weekdays. My maintenance plan that handles this is supposed to delete any .TRN and .BAK that are older than 5 days. So far the .BAK files are being deleted, but not the .TRN files. I cannot find any errors in the log. Does anyone have any idea on how to fix this?

Thanks,

jbehrne

Check the maintenance plan. Make sure that you have to delete the files on both the complete backup and transaction log backup pages. Is the maintenance plan writting a report? If there is a problem deleting the files it might be in there.
