Does Access 2000 allow you to create triggers? If not, is there a fairly uncomplicated way to replicate that functionality?
Thanks

Joe

Hmmm. I don't know about triggers with using the built-in JET engine. It doesn't do them, and I'm not sure on the workaround.

But you can use triggers if you just use the version of MSDE that comes with every copy of Access 2000. You may have to load it from CD since it's not installed by default. MSDE is essentially a crippled copy of MS SQL Server. It has triggers and just about all the other features of SQL Server, as far as I know. -- Herb

Also, although the version of Jet in Access 2000 (Jet 4) doesn't support triggers, it does support stored procedures. I suppose those might be usable as part of a workaround. -- Herb
