need to create a trigger or procedure that will notify users to follow up on a report they produce to other departments after 120 days. The report will be based off the date it was presented to the department "DateRptPresent" and the the 120 days will be calculated off the date it was reviewed by management. Is this possible??

HI,
i don't think trigger can do this. If reports are regularly prepared then you can have a scheduled job that runs daily or weakly (according to your wish and frequency of reports) checks date of each report and raise an alert to notify end-user accordingly.

miq

You can create alerts to do this, but Miq is correct. Triggers can't be scheduled.

Look up Alerts in Books Online.
