Hello

How do I explain this?

I'll try!

Picture the following situation:

I have a pc (W2K) with two applications open, Outlook 2000 and another program.

Question:

Is it possible to have an email open (the window) while still being able to work within the other program? In other words can an email window be greyed out so I can refer to it while working in another program?

Does that make sense?

Thanks

Hi,

Could you just tile the two windows, so your e-mail message is at the top and your other application is at the bottom? I'd think this would work if you just want to refer to one window while working in another. I don't think you can do exactly what you described. Even if you could, the window in the foreground would obscure the window where you were working. I don't know about you, but I like to see what work I do ;-)

Cheers,

Open the email program. Then click at the top right of the screen the "_" box to minimize the program to the task bar. You can open several programs this way. To maximize the windows again, simply click on the taskbar entry for the program.

You can minimize a open outlook mail in the taskbar and you can open other programs without any other problem. I think that mails grey out and put themselves to the background and put the focussed program on the foreground.

greetings,

Thanks all!

The best way for me is to have the windows I want open then right click the taskbar and choose tile vertically!

Thanks for the suggestions and help
