I am using Mac OSX 10.2.8 and downloaded the trial version of Dreamweaver MX2004, but every time I try to launch it I get a small rectangle with an ! over a yellow triangle and the word OK . No other message appears, no other words to explain this warning either.
I click on OK and the application just closes.
I have trashed the dreamweaver prefs from my home users library and tried to open it again... but to no avail. I have asked on the Macromedia forums in their own site... No-one had any answers.
So Please, has anyone any ideas. I am desparate to work on my site. I am following a course that uses Frontpage but I dont want to buy that. I was hoping that Dreamweaver would be the app for me but I am not going to buy it unseen.
TIA

I ran into the same problem when downloading the trial version until I noticed to have downloaded the mac version. Being on a pc side that was not going to work

Just a thought...

hmmmmm... :-(
is there any way u can test your DW based on MM_statement:

Dreamweaver MX 2004 is compliant with the "Designed for XP" logo program, and is fully carbonized and works natively on Mac OS 10.2.6.
.....
but honestly, save your money as the DW 2004 is not all that much more of an improvement.....unless ur just starting with web design.
Anyhow, HTH
All the best!

Hi , yes this is my first venture into web design, I had heard that Dw was the application to use but it sems useless to me.specially as Macromedia do not seem to be able to help me get it running.
HO HUM
Back to the drawing board, search for another piece of software.
Thanks for trying to help.

BUT.....Dreamweaver MX or 4 or 3 or UD will work!
after all...there are so many people outthere using it on OS X.....choice is yours....u will be missing out!
All the best!

side note:
...its a great tool for web dev on CDML/HTML --> FileMaker Database....which should go in hand with being an Apple user......

Hi everyone, well my trial 30 days is up and I never was able to launch it.
I am so disappointed.
I cant believe that I was the only person to have had this problem.
someone must have resolved it.
If only MM had an answer.
!
cheery thought to all
