Trash folder "missing" - recovery?

I have a user who deleted his Trash folder in GroupWise 5.5, and I can't seem to get it restored. I have even uninstalled and reinstalled GroupWise with no success at restoring his Trash folder.

Does anyone know how I can restore the Trash folder?
