I have a TransTalk 9040 installed in a large store/warehouse that is about 600 feet long.
There are 4 handsets and I have 3 dual zone modules to work with. I have placed two of the modules (synced together) in the center of the warehouse and get reception in almost all areas except for one small location. I was trying to get the third module to be zone 2 for just two of the handsets. The problems that I am seeing with this are that the two zones overlap each other and compete for the signal. If I was to move the modules to each end of the 600 foot building I would still have overlapping issues. The building has a lot of steel and other wireless devices that limit the distance.

Now to the question can anyone give me some pointers on the best way to set this up?

Throw them away and get some Spectralinks. Seriously we fought our Transtalks for over 5 years and never did get them to work well in a Dual Zone enviroment. They never seem to hand off correctly, and you will always have dead spots.

We upgraded to the Avaya 3606's and 3626's and haven't had an issue since. They work great and don't break everytime their dropped. If you have a dead spot just add another AP. If you don't want to go to IP you can always use the regular Spectralinks. If you don't want to spend the money on the Spectralinks, Engenius makes a cordless analog phone that should more than cover your area.

I finally placed the modules in three locations and got about the best coverage they are going to get in a single zone. I did tell the customer they should think about getting a Spectralink but there not wanting to spend the money. So I did the best I could with what they had.

Thanks for the response Dustinn3
