transtalk - 2 issues

We have a new transtalk and are experiences both of the below issues. Has anyone had these issues and how did you fix it... (we are using a Definity G3).

1) The transtalk will not allow you to transfer a call at times. when you try it just puts the call on hold. (this happens intermittently)

2) The transtalk will squeal sometimes very loudly, especially if you get near another speaker phone. is there a setting that can be changed on this?..

As far as the "transfer" issue, I would wonder if it's because the user doesn't have enough call appearances, or the last appearance being held for those transfers perhaps?

As far as the 'squealing' if the transtalk and the speakerphone are on the same call, then feedback will cause squealing. If you press 'mute' on either phone, then that should stop it, but of course, then you can't talk with that phone.
