Hi, I have a Gateway computer and the keyboard does't work in Windows. It works in bios setup. I can't open Outlook Express to do a backup per MS instructions using the message store routine because the user has a password and I can't get into OE.

I can drag and drop folders onto a external hard drive when it's the master in the Gateway, or I can slave it in another computer and see its folders. I'm hoping to be able to manually transfer the needed folders into Vista and use Windows Mail to recover the important email messages and addresses from the old hd. Do I just open Windows mail in Vista and import data from the identity folders ? I have 2 identity folders on my external hd with hexadecimal names and they have a file in each one with alot of unrecognizable text in it. So is it possible to transfer OE data this way ? Or do you need to do it within OE ?

thank you for any help
