I just setup a SoftConsole R1 sp2 and its working pretty good. However I have a problem with the auto-transfer functionality SoftConsole has.
Currently when a call comes in, the recp asks who they would like to talk to, she then types in there last name (for MasterDirectory) and presses enter. The call is instantly connected to the other party and released. Thus the auto-transfer functionality.
My dilemma is when a caller calls in asking to be placed into a user’s voicemail box. Usually the recp would call audix auto attn enter the requested voicemail ext and transfer them in to it.
But with the auto-transfer enabled, when going to transfer and you hit the transfer key and type in the ext, the system recognizes a connection and transfers the call before you can even enter in the ext of the persons voicemail box you want.
So my question is, is there away around this without having to turn off auto-transfer? Is there possibly a way to by pass a persons station and send them to the next step of a coverage path?
Any Thoughts?
