Greetings,
I am setting up a new computer which has Gigabyte GA-8KNXP mother board and a Western Digital SATA hard drive. Is there some way to transfer everything from my IDE drive so I don’t need to reinstall the operating system, and applications?
I was thinking of using Ghost but am concerned the SATA drive needs drivers to function and after I ghost the SATA drive it will not boot. I am using Windows 2K.

I believe Western Digital has utilities to transfer from old to new drive. Mount both old and new drives in the new system and use the WD utility.

Personally, I would reinstall.

Thank you.
I checked the Western Digital Site and they also recommend a new install. Thats where I am headed.
