I would like to filter data with a query and then select one of the records from the query and transfer that record info to a form that is already opened.
thanks

Make a form that is attached to your query
like so:
Click the queries TAB
then click the "Insert" menu then click "Autoform"
It will make a form in a few seconds.

Next open your new form and put a Subform at the bottom.
Think of this subform as the new form you wanted to open from your query
The subforms Child/Master Link will need to be a field that matches on both forms.
Or you could make anther form and have a button that opens it from the first form.

DougP
dposton@universal1.com

Ask me how Bar-codes can help you be more productive.

Doug
Thanks for your help. I would like one form to open the other.when I open my old form it says that this recordset is not updateable. I am sure it is something simple. Thanks
Is the recordset a Query connected to more than one table???
then it is NOT updatable.

DougP
dposton@universal1.com

Ask me how Bar-codes can help you be more productive.
