Hi, I don't know if this is the right forum or not, but here goes. I am looking for a way to view what is in the transaction log. I have searched google, but the only thing I have found is an application called Log Explorer. I do not want to pay for this application because this is really just a one time thing. Let me know if any of you have any ideas.

This is what we use...you can get a free trial of it....

Yeah, I looked into the free trial. It says that will only allow you to work on the Northwind database, which will not help in this situation. Thanks for your reply however.

We also have log explorer. What is the end result that you are looking for?

Basically what happened is we have a forum system (FuseTalk) that we lost some data on. Over the weekend our server crashed, and I wanted to look and see if the times were close to determine if they matched. Thanks checkai, I also saw that article, however, I can not interpret the results. It only returned 12 records that looked like this:

000000c6:000000ec:0001 LOP_BEGIN_XACT LCX_NULL 0000:0000c67e <Binary> 84 00000000:00000000:0000 <Binary> 0 <Binary> ClearChangeBits

Thanks for all your replies.

For anyone searching google. I found this sweet program that did what I wanted. It is called APEX SQL Log. I am assuming it is like Log Explorer, except the trial let's you view your databases, rather than the Northwind and pubs. Thanks for all the replies.
