Transaction log backup question

Come on people, help a SQL newbie out here!
The transaction log file for our DB had it max file size set to 1Gb, and I upped the limit to 1.5Gb
I would like to reduce the limit back to 1Gb but it seems that I cannot. Is there a way to do this??

First you have to reduce the TLog to be less than 1Gb in actual size and then you will be able to do it AL Almeida
