Here is a question about transactional replication. I need to setup
transactional replication on 2 servers. I will not have a direct
connection to both computers for several weeks, however, I need to start
this very soon. For the initial snapshot, I know how to copy the data
on a cd and copy it to the new server. But this brings 2 questions to
mind about the "transactional" aspect of replication:
1) How can I copy the transactional data to a cd? I don't know what
directory to find it, if it exists at all? Then, how do I update the database on the new server.
2) Once I have both computers connected via a WAN, can I change the
transactional replication to happen automatically or do I need to create
another snapshot?
Thank you in advance for your help.
