As far as I know there is no free training provided by Veritas for NetBackup. What we ended up doing was sending our backup administrators to both the 3 and 5 day training, and then came back and trained the operators on their duties. Our operators are limited to what they can do. Their main duties are loading/unloading tapes, resubmitting jobs if they go down, redirecting policies to another storage unit and monitoring the jobs at night. If jobs continously fail, then they page one of the administrators and we sign in to then troubleshoot and fix the problem.
