Okay, i've been messing around with access databases and ASP ect for a while now and I want to improve my knowledge/CV + am getting tired of MS Access, it seems loads of jobs are asking for sql server experience or knowledge so i guess i should do a course or something... ideally i'd like to do an online course in my own time anyone got any good ideas / advice should i bother? Also i guess i'd have to get a copy of SQL Server is that gonna be easy? is there a scaled down version for learning on or anything similar?

I have no idea whatsoever,

There is a lot of training available. Check the Microsoft site for information about certified training.

Check faq183-694 for information about some of the SQL training available online. Some of the training is free.
