Traffics for POP3 vs MAPI download

Hi there,

Assuming I got a E2K3 server at remote site, local site machine is w98 + outlook2000.

Comparing outlook2000 receive email by pop3 download & mapi download (offline mode).

For downloading the same email, if pop3 download is X amount of bandwidth & time, what will be mapi download (offiline mode)? 2X? 3X? or more?
