We started a new feature on our site that allows users to call our javascript feeds into their own sites. It is VERY popular and we know that it is being used on at least 12 sites.

The problem is, I don't know how to track the usage literally. Because it is a javascript call I don't know how to get the referrer information, can anyone help?

What do we add to the javascript code in order to be able to determine where the calls are originating? Thanks for the time.

Here is an exmaple of the code we use for one category of scripts:

Code:
<script language=javascript src=&quot;[URL unfurl="true"]http://www.cgiscript.net/cgi-script/csNews/csNews.cgi?database=js_windows%2edb&command=viewnews&o=n&od=a&range=a&rangestart=&rangeend=&op=r&sd=y&st=n&ct=j&link=P&quot;></script>[/URL]

If the above call does not copy/paste correctly, the calls can be found here:

Do you want to know how many sites are using the feature, or how many times a user accesses the particular page? ===
Supports Mozilla and Web Standards
Knows HTML/XHTML, CSS1, JavaScript, PHP, C++, DOM1

Actually, I want to know what domain/IP is using it. If I can get that information I can do all the other stuff easily.

I tried to put a 1x1 image in there then check the server log, the hits add up but they are all from my server - DOH! Mike Barone
