Hello,

I have an application that has been installed on a WinXP PC which we no longer have the installation disk for. I want to copy all the files the program needs from all directories including C:\Windows and C:\Windows\System32\.

The application is a security device for a USB Flash disk that allows the user to access a second partition that Windows does not pick up.

So the program will be making calls to .dll files and may also be making calls to the device manager / devices.

Is there any programs out there that will trace the calls this application is making as all attempts to find all the files required have failed.

Preferably a freeware program.

Hope this is the right place to post this.

Thanks in advance

Cheers, James

Not sure about any "non standard" type files it may require, but QuickView (Jasc Software) allows you to right click on an EXE and "QuickView" it. This gives detailed information about the EXE and the files (DLLs, etc) it references. It used to come with windows, for some reason it seems to have been weeded out in the latest versions.
