tracking lost emails in exchange

I have exchange 2000 on small business edition/isa server. I am using pop email to collect emails but when the emails are downloaded I can see that the emails should go to the receipts and their emails are correct, but there seems to be some emails getting lost and I can not trace them anywhere. Does anybody know how to track down lost emails?
