Tracking and Applying Directory Permissions

I am looking for a way to capture permissions on extensive file shares such that I can easily re-apply those settings in the event they become messed up. I am looking for something like the Security Configuration and Analysis tool, in that I want to be able to export a configuration to an inf-type file that I can re-apply to the file system when necessary. If someone knows how to employ the Security Configuration and Analysis tool, that would be fantastic.
