track CPU usage over extended time frame

Hi, I Am looking to try to track CPU usage on a Win2k Server over an extended time from (hopefully about a work-weeks worth of data on a chart) ... however, I cant find a decent tool to do it. I have tried the Windows Performance Manager but while that has the chart I Am looking for, it does not offer the extended time frame I am looking for. Anyone have any ideas on other programs I Could try ... download.com has alot but they all seem to have the same limitations as Performance Manager ... I appreciate any help anyone might be able to offer.

The high people in the ivory tower decided that everyone needs to measure something for our "six sigma initiative" so this is the best thing I could come with for measuring something ... since the IT department doesnt really have alot of processes that can be consistantly measured.

Once again, any help is appreciated.

Have you looked at the performance logs and alerts? These are a little cumbersome for long time periods, but should do the trick.

What you do is go into the performance logs and alerts snap-in in MMC, then "Create New Log Setting". You add counters in the same way as with the System Monitor. This will record data for the time specified in the Schedule section, and write it to a file.
You access this data from the System Monitor. By opening the properties dialog here, and switching to the source tab, you can change from graphing current activity to looking at the data from a log.
