I have an external number I call several times a day programmed on a hotline key. About 1/2 the time when I press this hotline key I get a fast busy. When I trace my DN my TN shows IDLE. Would this hotline call go out over the same route as if was to manually dial the number? How can I figure out where the problem is? Thank you for your assistance.

Yes it will go on the same route as if you manually dialed the number.

I have four in/outbound PRIs. When I get this fast busy do I need to just stat these PRIs from last to first and, if so, how can I figure out which channel I'm on that's giving me the fast busy?

Try tracing your tn instead of your dn. trac tn or trak tn. the trak is if its a opt 11.

okay, i'll try that next time I get a fast busy and post my findings. Thanks.

You might want to turn on the D-channel messaging also and see what you get there.

well, I don't know how to "read" d-channel messages but maybe I can figure it out with the help of my NTPs. I'll give it a try. Thanks.

ld 96 enl msgi x or enl msgo x,,, low traffic, another great trac command is trac 4 0 0 0 x with x =to the key number... bad news, after a fast busy your que'd to intercept..not much help// another way to try is entc x x x x y with y the term number then gotr... dynamic trace command, not for opt 11's but usful on larger switches

about the only words that made sense to little ole me were "not for opt 11s". I have an Opt. 61C so I'll get out my telecom translation dictionary and see if I can follow your steps. thanks, JohnPoole.

gotr
