I believe that I am having problems with my DNS setup. I am trying to tracert to my domain but tracert is unable to route to it. I am trying to tracert to mydomain.com, ftp.mydomain.com, and When I tracert to these using the IP address, it is able to route, but when I use the names, it cannot. I have an NS record for mydomain.com, and I have Host records for ftp and to the proper IP. A DNS lookup for ftp.mydomain.com, and mydomain.com show the proper IPs. My network is also running NAT, but ftp and to a public IP address that is routed to my private addresses bu One-to-One NAT. If anyone can help me I would greatly appreciate it.

So when you try to use a hostname, DNS isn't resolving for those hosts, right?

If you let me know what the domain in question is then I will check it for you?

Chris.

Have you tried pathping and see what happens?
