Hello again!

I've just been asked what a couple of files are - one is called plugin142-01.trace, and on one profile it won't open - but on the other it's called an SDF file and is rather large.

What is it? Can I delete it? Where did it come from?

Any file extension can be used by more than one program, as you link shows they have 2 applications listed for that file extension and I have found some others doing a google.

On the machine that it shows up as a SDF file, take a look at the File Types tab of Folder options and see if there is an application associated with it.

You could also try opening the file in Word Pad and see if there is any readable data that would point you to the origin.

The plugin141-02.trace file points to a trace file that can be output from java applications.

Also take a look at and see if it tallies with an applications you use in house, or perhaps Browser Help Objects, known or un-known.
